Health Insurance in India is now-a-days picking up. However, it will take considerable number of years for them to reach to about 200 million urban and rural poor. Hence there is a need to think of designing and implementing innovative schemes to suit the socio economic conditions of the urban and rural poor in India.

Sudhananda Poorna Arogya Scheme (SPAS), designed and being implemented by the SAS Poorna Arogya Health Care Pvt., Mysore is a community based Private and NGO sector joint venture to provide low cost health care services to the urban and rural poor in collaboration with NGOs/ NGO-MFIs / Cooperatives and network of recognized hospitals.
